Volunteering

The staff and team at the Drop In Centre are ably assisted by a wonderful team of volunteers who assist in looking after children, young people and parents during the day time, evening and soon, weekends too. If you would like to join this team, please visit the Volunteering page.

Fundraising

We are very grateful to everyone who contributed to the funding required to set up the Drop In Centre - and particularly the Wooden Spoon Society, Evening News readers, Radio Forth Help A Child Appeal, NHS Lothian and many generous Sick Kids Friends Foundation supporters. Ikea kindly donated furniture for the lounge and Sky have donated both the TV and Sky Services.

We do need to raise funds on an on-going basis though - around £175,000 per annum. We are very grateful to Big Lottery, who will donate just over £200,000 for the first 3 years towards these costs - but that leaves a gap of just over £100,000, which we would love you to help us fulfil!
